WHAT IS A DERMAL FILLER?

A dermal filler is a gel based product injected just beneath the skin to create volume. Dermal fillers can be used to enhance lips, fill in deep lines or give volume to areas of atrophy. 



ARE DERMAL FILLERS SAFE?

At OC Medical Aesthetics we only offer dermal fillers with FDA approval and manufactured in the United States. Dermal fillers are the second most popular non-surgical treatment administered in the US today.



ARE THERE ANY NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS?

Normal, injection-related reactions, such as a mild irritation, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site may occur. These conditions will resolve within a few days.



WILL I EXPERIENCE PAIN DURING THE INJECTION?

We take measures to minimize discomfort during your treatment. Most patients report a "1-2" on a pain scale with 10 being the worst pain. 


ARE DERMAL FILLERS PERMANENT?

There are dermal fillers available with a longer duration.  However, we do not administer these at OC Medical Aesthetics. We offer Radiesse, Juvederm and Restylane, with an expected duration of six to eighteen months.
