NEW TO BOTOX?
Often our first time Botox patients are concerned with looking overdone or "frozen", not have any movement and fear "everyone will know". You don't need to worry at OC Medical Aesthetics. We will discuss your goals prior to injection and administer only the amount required to achieve your desired look. In addition, the amount of Botox given is based on severity of the lines, strength and thickness of the muscle. Often, just 12 units injected between the eyebrows is sufficient to eliminate movement and diminish lines.
COST OF BOTOX
Based on a national average, a consumer can expect to pay $380 to correct lines between the brows and forehead. At OC Medical Aesthetics, the average cost for a woman, ranges between $180 - $250 to correct the same areas. We will always discuss your expectations and the amount you will require prior to injection. There are no unexpected costs. The amount of Botox given is based on severity of the lines, strength and thickness of the muscle. Like most medical offices, we charge by the unit rather than "per area".

Is BOTOX safe?
BOTOX is a purified protein and has been used therapeutically for almost 20 years to treat a variety of medical conditions. It is approved in more than 75 countries and remains as one of the most widely researched medicines in the world. Used "off label" since 1990 for cosmetic purposes, Botox was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2002 for the correction of facial expression lines.
I've heard that some doctors are giving Botox they purchased from distributors outside of the United States. This concerns me. How can I be sure I'm getting real BOTOX?
Botox Cosmetic is manufactured by Allergan Corporation, located in Irvine California. OC Medical Aesthetics ONLY purchases Botox directly from Allergan. To assure the authenticity of your Botox, we will be more than happy to show you the "Allergan Hologram" which is located on the label of the vial. In addition, the Brilliant Distinctions program is only offered to physicians who purchase Botox directly from Allergan.
Is it painful to get BOTOX?
OC Medical Aesthetics uses the smallest needle possible (about the size of an eyelash) and a variety of techniques to maximize your comfort during the treatment. If requested, we will apply a fast acting topical anesthetic for additional comfort.
How soon will I see a difference? What kind of results can I expect?
You can expect to see results within a couple of days after your treatment and full effect of the Botox by two weeks. Factors that effect the duration of Botox include: frequency of muscle movement, severity of lines, skin integrity, muscle strength, age, hormones, medications and lifestyle such as smoking. The average Botox treatment lasts approximately three months.
